It’s another long title (what is it with me on long titles this week?) but I feel it appropriate for this image. The words are from an Elvis Presley song. Can you recall which one? And can you feel this magic too?

This has a long title because I cannot find a word to express my love for this image of Shan, but yet remembered a caption from a friend of mine who painted these beautiful words on canvas – True love calls on part of you that cannot speak.
It is my task as a photographer/imagery artist to observe my subjects. When I say to observe, I mean it not as merely looking with the eyes, but seeing and feeling from the level of the heart. No good work come from only scratching the surface. When it comes to imagery, it has to come out of love for your subject.
William and Shan told me about themselves and their wedding. They relive the moment to me about how they met and when they first held hands. They also described their wedding to me by telling me about the kind of decoration (flowers/colours/music), the type of cake, and the venue.
Last Saturday I was also at their church rehearsal. These things count to me. No effort must be spared. Every detail counts. All of these help me fall in love; my love for weddings, my love for photography, and my love for the two of them – William and Shan.
Beneath my cool exterior, there is a burning heart.
I still can’t find an adequate word for this image. Will you help me?

Shan was adjusting her gown in between the shoot with Michel doing the art direction. There’s something about the vines that Michel really likes. It’s not that I mind because here is one that I felt and like.

Very rarely would I try to direct a scene but if I feel one I’ll make one.
Envisioning the couple walking together by the side of the tracks, I requested that Shan be walking on the platform while William supports and hold her hand. Squeezing many frames on the shutter, here’s one that is just right. I just love the way they were looking at each other.

FOREVER BEGINS – That is what was written on William and Shan’s wedding invite. I can’t help but tease them about being Shrek and Fiona as that was what came to my mind with the recent release of Shrek Forever After. LOL!
And so a tease and a teaser, their wedding day is on July the 1oth while Andessen Imagery is set to be unveiled on June the 6th. It’s all coming soon…
